I’m Lorena Chavez — a teacher, mom, and Board Vice President of the East Side Union High School District.

A classroom scene with a smiling woman teacher standing in front of a whiteboard with a math problem written on it. Several students are seated, raising their hands.

I’m running for re-election to continue fighting for educational excellence and opportunity for every student.

I’ve helped bring over $10 million for digital access, expanded college and career  access and pathways, and improved student well-being through more counselors and supports.

I know our students can achieve anything when they have the tools and support they deserve — and I’m committed to making that a reality for every East Side student.
